Nepal is a very poor country and so is the population sourroundinbg the area where Sacred land Initiatives working. As the project was basically founded under the guidance of the Abbot of Tengboche Monastery, it has very strong social obligations, and priorities. We all work as volunteers and any income generated goes directly back to charitable projects. Indeed, very often the project itself does not have the most needed investment for its operation, because all the money goes back to the community..

Up to now three major areas which Sacred Land contributed:

• Poverty Reduction: basic needs, like food, shelter, health care, education.
• Environmental Campaigns: awareness campaigns, improvement of the environment and ecology.
• Religious Activities: for world peace, health,  long life and prosperity.
